Food for Thought: Food Insecurity and Infant Mortality

Black Americans experience disproportionately high rates of food insecurity, resulting in dire consequences for maternal and infant health. (Data visualization story on the Black-White disparity of food insecurity on infant mortality. Conducted a literature review, created graphs and infographics, wrote accessible text, and designed layout on ArcGIS. Submitted for CHDV 24599: Historical and Contemporary Issues in US Racial Health Inequities).

Grab and Go: CPS Meal Distribution During the Pandemic

Fighting time and adhering to health guidelines, CPS organized Grab N Go sites for any family members to pick up pre-packaged food. Special thank you to Professor Maidhof for guiding me in this process and Stephanie Wallen for helping me to conduct research.
